FAQ

Got questions? Total Exterior Systems Inc has answers for you!

01. What types of buildings do you roof?

We are your total roofing solution. We can roof any type of building, including residential and commercial structures ranging from low-slope to steep-peak. We use only high-quality materials for all your roofing needs, including metal and asphalt shingles in a full range of colors and styles.

02. How much is a new roof?

We determine the cost of your new roof by performing a complete inspection, in which we consider size, style, and grade, as well as whether we need to do a tear-off – in some cases, we can install over your old roof. Your cost also is impacted by your choice of materials – metal roofing is more costly than asphalt shingles, but its lifespan is as much as double that of shingles.

03. How long can I expect my roof to last?

The life span of most asphalt shingle roofs is 20 to 25 years, depending on how well it is maintained, the quality of materials used, and such factors as ice, snow, heat, and high wind. A metal roof may last as long as 40 years. For both metal and shingle roofing, severe weather and storm damage can shorten the life of your roof.

04. How long will it take to install my new roof?

The time needed for new roof installation is impacted mostly by the style of the roof. Many peaks, gables, and dormers create a more complicated installation process. An average roof – fewer peaks or dormers and less than 3,000 square feet of area – can usually be completed in a day for both metal and shingle roofing. We recommend some flexibility to allow for inclement weather.

05. What should I do if my roof is damaged in a storm?

A storm damaged roof in Wadsworth, Ohio, can quickly cause further damage inside your home. Call your insurance company and the Total Roofing emergency team right away to provide the tarping and protection you need to prevent additional damage. We work with your insurance company to handle documentation and provide an estimate to begin the process of repairing your roof.
